A brand new connection road in Caboolture by QM Properties has just started construction which will link Old Gympie Road and Smiths Road.
Central Springs developer, QM Properties, has started construction on a $7.5 million road project, which will link Old Gympie Road and Smiths Road, significantly cutting travel time for many Caboolture residents.
The new one kilometre road connection is expected to be completed in early 2020, and will mean residents of both Central Springs and the broader community will have improved access to the highway, train station, local shops and schools.
More than 250 workers will be involved in completing the new road infrastructure.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Division Three Councillor, Adam Hain, said the project would have a significant positive impact.
“This development really is a game changer for the Smiths Road corridor – not just because of the 250 metre rehabilitated section in front of the estate itself, but for the greater traffic issues on Smiths Road,” said Cr Hain.
“With three schools exiting onto the Smiths Road intersection, we as locals know only too well the state of affairs during school rush hours. We hope to see some pressure come off this choke point once the new connection is open.
“Due to diligent and successful negotiations between Council and QM Properties, this once dead-end road will now be opened up as a truly connected community.”
QM Properties General Sales Manager Damien Ross said the new road would mean access to the highway in just three minutes, the train station and heart of Caboolture in four minutes and Morayfield shopping centre in eight minutes.
“It will also provide improved access to multiple schools – with no traffic lights in between, meaning consistent travel times for families,” he said.
“The project is a win-win all around – for residents of Central Springs, the Caboolture community and the 250 workers involved in completing the new road.”
Mr Ross said Central Springs – the largest masterplanned community underway in Caboolture – was already home to about 180 residents, with more than 250 homesites now sold.
“Central Springs will continue to grow in the coming years, with the community appealing to a broad range of new residents, including first home buyers and families upgrading to a new home,” he said.
“Across the board, these buyers are making the move due to the prime location, close to the heart of Caboolture and a string of shops, transport and schools, the significant green open space and parkland, and the relatively affordable price to secure a place in the community.”
When complete, Central Springs will feature more than 1000 homes across 160 hectares, with 46 hectares dedicated to parkland, green open spaces and a four-hectare lake.
The community is located close to public and private schools, the Central Lakes Shopping Village and major transport hubs, and is within an hour of the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and even closer to Bribie Island.
Stage 11B of Central Springs, which features selected homesites overlooking bushland, has just been released, with lots sized from 300sqm to 725sqm and priced from $185,000.
