NEW LINK ROAD COMPLETE
A new $7.5 million road linking Old Gympie and Smiths Road is now complete, acting as a significant time saver for residents commuting to the highway, train station and local schools and shops.
The new one kilometre Central Springs Parade was constructed over the past seven months by QM Properties, which is developing Caboolture’s Central Springs estate, which will be home to around 2500 new residents.
Councillor Hain said the new connection road would allow for more consistent travel times to local amenities, including three schools which exit on to Smiths Road.
“People shouldn’t have to factor regular congestion in to their daily plans. This much-needed connection road provides a permanent solution to a well known traffic pain point,” he said.
“It’s important that we deliver new infrastructure to keep pace with the growth of our community, and it’s been fantastic to work hand in hand with a developer like QM Properties, who understands this.”
Central Spring’s Sales Manager, Scott Scheu was committed to delivering new amenities to enrich the lifestyle for its residents and the broader community.
“When people choose a place to live they generally look for convenience and connectivity. They want to know that they can easily access local schools and shops, so that’s why we have invested in creating this connection road,” he said.
“The benefit is a noticeable reduction in the time it takes to get from A to B. Residents will now be able to access the highway faster, the train station and heart of Caboolture in minutes and Morayfield shopping centre in under 10 minutes.
“We’re also proud to say that we employed about 250 local workers for this project, so it really is a case of people in the community helping to shape its future.
“In addition to this new road, we’ve recently opened a $1 million, 7,000sqm park at Central Springs named after one of the founding members of the Caboolture Scouts – Dawn Andrews.
“The Dawn Andrews Park, which features playground equipment including two 30 metre flying foxes, climbing platforms, slides, swings and a half basketball court, plus barbeque areas,
has been hugely popular.
“The park is part of 46 hectares of open green space in Central Springs, with a four hectare lake at its heart.
“Central Springs will ultimately be home to about 1,000 families, so the new road and parklands are part of our plan to pave the way for future growth.”
Homesites in Central Springs, ranging from 300sqm are now selling from $185,000.
The community is located within easy reach of several schools, the Central Lakes Shopping Village and major transport hubs, and is within an hour of the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
